Adult, child taken to Mackay Hospital after crash at Blacks Beach

Emergency crews raced to a crash in the Mackay region on Saturday afternoon where a child and driver were taken to hospital.

A child was among two people taken to hospital on Saturday evening after a crash in the Mackay region.

Emergency crews were called to the incident where a car had crashed into a pole on Blacks Beach Rd at Blacks Beach about 6.15pm.

A spokeswoman for Queensland Ambulance Service said the child patient had suffered some neck pain and seatbelt bruising.

She said the adult was understood to have suffered from a medical episode.

They were both taken to Mackay Hospital in stable conditions.
