UPDATE 10.15AM: A 13-year-old boy who suffered serious burns after a backyard fire incident remains in hospital.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said the teenager had burns to his arms, legs and abdomen.
He was rushed from the St Lawrence private address to Mackay Base Hospital about 6.20pm Sunday.
A Mackay Hospital and Health Service spokeswoman said the boy was in a stable condition.
INITIAL 7AM: A teenage boy who suffered serious burns to his upper body after a backyard fire incident was rushed to hospital.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said the teenager suffered burns to his arms, legs and abdomen.
He was taken to Mackay Base Hospital in a stable condition.
The incident happened at a private property about 6.20pm.
In an unrelated incident, a man in his 20s was also taken to Mackay Base Hospital after a single-vehicle crash in Sarina.
A police spokesman said the LandCruiser rollover happened on a bend on Garrett Rd at 8.14pm.
The man was reported to be in a stable condition.
