53-year-old Marian man dies in Bruce Hwy crash
A two vehicle head on crash has occurred on the Bruce Hwy South of Mackay, where a man in his 50s died.

UPDATE, 10.40am:
Forensic Crash Unit officers are investigating a two-vehicle fatal traffic crash on the Bruce Highway at Balberra this morning.
According to police, investigations indicate two vehicles collided head-on on the Bruce Hwy, about 10km south of Mackay, about 5.50am.
The driver and sole occupant of one of the vehicles, a 53-year-old Marian man, died at the scene.
The other driver, a 17-year-old Mackay man, was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Investigations are continuing.

UPDATE, 9.30am:
The Bruce Highway has re-opened to traffic following a head-on collision that killed a man south of Mackay this morning.
"There has been a two-vehicle head-on collision, and as a result there is one deceased male," a police spokesman told the Mercury at the scene.
"Forensic crash are investigating at the moment."
The spokesman added the man who died was aged in his 50s.
Earlier: TWO vehicles were involved in a head on collision on the Bruce Hwy south of Mackay this morning near Sandringham Creek.
One of the male drivers was reportedly pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police are yet to confirm as they are still in the process of notifying family.
Paramedics were called to the incident about 6am this morning near Macs Truckstop, arriving to find the other male driver out of his vehicle.
He was transported to Mackay Base Hospital with minor injuries.
Police are still on scene and the single lane highway has been closed in both directions.
