Friends, family and loved ones gathered to farewell 23-year-old Lily Thai, whose decision to end her life by voluntary euthanasia has left a lasting legacy. 

Former NSW premier Gladys Berejiklian said she tried to make her former lover “feel wanted” by calling him “the boss,” in private testimony to the Independent Commission Against Corruption that the former Premier tried to keep secret. 
 
Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has waved away her own revelation that she failed to tell Health Minister Shannon Fentiman about the resignation of her department’s director-general as a “storm in a teacup”. 

Childcare charges at some centres in Victoria will overtake the fees for a Year 12 student at the state’s most expensive private school, amid hikes of up to 11 per cent in July. 

Medibank, Bupa, Woolworths and other leading brands have been banned from selling pet insurance products for at least 21 days after the corporate regulator found they  may not have “properly considered the financial situation” of customers.
