GOLD Coast identity Ken Lacey could be set do a prison ‘tag team’ with one of his notorious sons.

The former millionaire Melbourne milk baron is facing jail time after pleading guilty last month to supplying cocaine.

But his Southport District Court sentencing was adjourned after defence lawyers raised concerns about a lack of hydrotherapy pools in jail to treat the 61-year-old after recent shoulder surgery.

Today, a sentencing hearing was set down for May 4 next year.

Both his sons, Jade and Dionne, are serving lengthy sentences for offences including the fatal shooting of Gold Coast landscaper Kevin Palmer in 2007 and the torture of a drug dealer who was allegedly forced to dig his own grave on South Stradbroke Island.

Jade — a former aspiring rapper dubbed ‘Lace Italiano’ — is also doing time for drug trafficking and the 2006 bashing of a Gold Coast hairdresser who allegedly botched a $1600 hairdo meant to make Lacey’s then-girlfriend look like Jennifer Lopez.

But after more than a decade behind bars, the 33-year-old is due for parole in April, a month before his father is due to be sentenced.

Last year, Jade lost an appeal against his ‘crushing’ sentence, imposed in 2013 by Queensland Governor Paul de Jersey when he was the state’s chief justice.

Sources say Jade has become a fitness fanatic in jail and is planning to go into business in a Gold Coast gym popular with fitness models and pro boxers if he is released.

Ken Lacey’s girlfriend, Ari Stringer, 37, was also charged with supplying cocaine but the charge was dropped after Lacey agreed to plead guilty.

She was sentenced to 12 months’ probation after pleading guilty to possessing dangerous drugs and scales.
