Johnny Depp: Fan trumps media scrum at Southport court

A HUGE media scrum greeted actor Johnny Depp and his wife Amber Heard when they arrived at Southport Magistrates Court - but one fan beat them all.

AUTOGRAPH hunter Peter Valentin beat out dozens of reporters to get up close to actor Johnny Depp and his wife Amber Heard outside Southport Magistrates Court on Queensland’s Gold Coast today.

Mr Valentin made it to the front of the scrum as the Hollywood couple, flanked by bodyguards, walked inside the courthouse on Monday morning.

Heard was facing charges over bringing her two dogs Pistol and Boo into the country while Depp was filming the latest Pirates of the Caribbean movie in May 2015.
