He is highly recommended by clients for being genuine, reliable, and for always going “above and beyond”.
Mr Eveans said he was “ecstatic” to be voted number one.
“We were just happy with top 60,” he said.
Mr Eveans is a born and proud local, who grew up in Redbank Plains and remained in the Ipswich area ever since.
The father-of-three is a relative newcomer to the real estate business, having worked as an agent for three and a half years now.
He got his start at First National Action Realty, who he spoke very highly of, but he soon wanted to branch out on his own.
With over 20 years of experience as a painter, Mr Eveans has used his prior industry knowledge to make a his mark on Ipswich’s real estate landscape.
“Being a tradie I don’t come across like any other agent,” he explained.
“I just talk to them [clients] like I’m talking about football.”
Mr Eveans attributed his success in Ipswich to the way clients connected with his down to earth, relatable image.
He said would make videos making fun of himself, running around in a suit and “just being everything other than what a real estate agent is supposed to be like”.
Mr Eveans joked that the job was more like being a psychologist or removalist than he expected.
“It definitely pays in any business just to be a hard worker, genuine person,” he said.
