An impatient Ipswich region driver has been caught on dashcam footage driving erratically, while his mate got out of the moving ute on multiple occasions to confront other road users.
The car in question, a white Nissan Navara can be seen swerving and driving erratically while exiting the Ipswich Motorway onto Collingwood Drive on Saturday, August 13, about 3pm.
Weather conditions were not ideal as the road was wet from recent rainfall.
Further up the road tensions boiled over near Redbank Plains Plaza, when the impatient driver merged into moving traffic with no indicator, forcing a gold sedan to take evasive action.
The Nissan then followed the sedan for about 2km and the passenger of the ute jumped from the moving car on multiple occasions in an attempt to confront the driver.
The burly passenger got out of the ute at a red light and charged up to the sedan while shoeless — the driver took off through a red light in an attempt to flee.
But it was not long before the ute caught up to the sedan while stopped at another red-light near Collingwood Park Woolworths, however this time the passenger was armed with a Bundaberg Rum bottle.
The bottle was then pegged at the back of the sedan, littering the roadway with broken glass.
A police spokesman said investigators were looking into the incident after it was reported to the Redbank Plains police beat at 4.30pm.
The spokesman said as of Tuesday, August 16, no chargers had been laid.
