Traffic chaos hours after Hwy crash

Traffic is at a standstill on the Warrego Highway after an earlier truck crash caused a diesel spill on the road.

THERE is major congestion on the Warrego Highway due to a diesel spill caused by a truck crash earlier today.

A Queensland Police Service spokesperson confirmed officers were still on the scene of a diesel spill more than three hours after the initial crash.

The crash was reported to have occurred on the highway at 1.40pm after the Holdsworth Rd onramp, and the driver of the truck was said to have escaped injury.

The westbound lanes heading toward Toowoomba are closed, with traffic being diverted onto Francis Road.
