Traffic alert: Centenary Highway two car collision forces lane closures

Cars were banked in both directions on the Centenary Highway in Brisbane’s west after a multi-vehicle crash.

The Centenary Highway was blocked in both directions between Augustine Heights and Redbank Plains with traffic backing up in both lanes Monday afternoon.

A multi-vehicle crash occurred around 4pm on Spring Mountain in the westbound lanes.

One woman was taken to Ipswich Hospital with minor injuries in a stable condition.

Motorists were urged to avoid the area or expect significant delays.

Police were on location directing traffic and are currently investigating the crash but traffic had eased by 6pm, with only minor delays reported.
