Four arrested: Police swarm country town centre south of Ipswich

Police have arrested multiple people for drug dealing, drug possession, or firearm possession, following a number of drug raids across the Ipswich district.

Ipswich police have arrested four people after raids in Peak Crossing and Camira, where a huge drug stash and illegal firearms were allegedly uncovered.

A police spokesman said that during the raid on Wednesday morning, August 10, officers allegedly found methamphetamine, cannabis, cannabis plants, a rifle, and a sawn-off shotgun.

Letissa Murphy, 44, and David Dodds, 53, were arrested at the Fassifern Street property, and charged with drug production, drug supply, and weapon possession.

A Josiah Murphy, 29, was also charged in relation to the shotgun, receiving tainted property firearm/ammunition and authority to possess explosives.

Later in the day Ipswich police raided a Camira address and allegedly found a quantity of cannabis, meth, and loaded handgun at a Jean Road address.

Following that raid, a 33-year-old man was charged with the unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of dangerous drugs, possessing drug utensils and explosives.

They are due to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court on Thursday, August 11.
