Five teenagers travelling in a car west of Ipswich were involved in a serious car crash in the early hours of the morning.
Two teenagers were critically injured and are fighting for their lives.
A Queensland Police spokesman said the car was allegedly stolen and crashed on Chum St at New Chum at 2am, November 11.
“Initial investigations indicate about 2am a black SUV wagon lost control and rolled while travelling on a dirt road,” he said.
“The vehicle was allegedly stolen from an Oxley address overnight.
“Forensic Crash Unit and detectives from the Child Protection Investigation Unit and the Criminal Investigation Branch are investigating.”
Queensland Ambulance medical director Dr Stephen Rashford said the car rolled throwing multiple teens from the car.
“Five patients were treated on scene, all aged 16 years or under,” he said.
“Two patients were critically ill and three patients suffered serious injuries.
“It was reported the car had rolled with numerous individuals being ejected from the vehicle.”
Dr Rashford said a magnitude of medical resources was deployed to the scene to save the children.
“This (incident) consumed significant resources to treat the patients on what was already a very busy night for QAS across south east Queensland,” he said.
“Responding we had an ambulance supervisor, ambulance doctor, and many critical care paramedics and advance care paramedics.”
Two patients were transported to Queensland Children’s Hospital, two to the Princess Alexandra Hospital, and one to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
