Summerholm country musician searches for online votes

SUMMERHOLM country musician Adam Kilpatrick is currently leading the Artist Signal charts, but he’s looking for votes to achieve his goals.

SUMMERHOLM country musician Adam Kilpatrick is currently leading the Artist Signal charts, but he's looking for votes to achieve his goals.

The Artist Signal charts sees musicians from across the world put their songs online and receive votes from the public in a bid to win $10,000.

The victory would help Mr Kilpatrick (pictured) into the studio to record his fourth album.

Encouraged by a friend who won previously, Mr Kilpatrick is calling on the Lockyer Valley community to help him out.

His number one position on the charts has him favoured over musicians from across the world in all types of genres.

"It's pretty nerve-wracking (to be leading) because I know the Brazilians have won the competition since July last year," he said.

"The lead could disappear overnight."

Musicians, family, friends and music lovers can register and vote for their favourite artists.

By casting their votes, music lovers are awarded with the ability to download songs for free.

For Mr Kilpatrick, music has always been his passion. He started playing gigs 20 years ago, and is a regular performer at Porters, Plainland.

He's played at every festival across the nation and is now hoping to win the cash for his next album.

More than 4000 independent artists are competing for the $10,000 prize money.

To help Adam Kilpatrick maintain the number one spot, log onto artistsignal.com or download the app.
