The Maroons will be out to make amends in this weekend’s second State of Origin clash, and what better way to see the spectacle than on the big screen.

Ipswich’s Tulmur Place will host a free screening of the big game on Sunday.

A massive 6x3m LED TV will provide the next best view to being at the stadium, with food trucks, licensed bar, coffee cars and heaters on hand to make the night more enjoyable.

Ipswich Mayor Teresa Harding said residents and fans wouldn’t want to miss the event.

“Ipswich is the beating heart of rugby league, and our city has produced countless Queensland representatives over the years,” Cr Harding said.

“We’re back in Game Two with another family-friendly event, and an even higher-stakes encounter.”

Tulmur Place will also host the screening of Game 3 on July 14.

Alcohol will be available from a licensed bar in the precinct but cannot be brought onto the premises.

The event this Sunday opens at 7pm with kick-off at 8pm.
