TO win two consecutive premierships in your sport takes a great team, but to win three in this day and age is a phenomenal effort.

In rugby league you have to go back to the seasons of 1981/82/83 when the mighty Parramatta Eels dominated the league or the Hawthorn Hawks won flags in 2013, 14 and 15.

In the English Premier League, Manchester United achieved this honour in 2006/7, 2007/8 and 2008/9.

You can now add the Brisbane Bandits to this honoured list, after achieving their three-peat last weekend with a tough 4-2 victory over Canberra in Game 3.

The Bandits were the best team in this competition all year and it was a worthy reward for the effort put in for the entire season.

Congratulations also to the Ipswich Musketeers players that were a valuable part in this achievement.

All we can ask for now is a four peat and some TV coverage for a sport that gets very little.

Aussie assault

THE Winter Olympics have started and we have seen some great results from the Aussies.

All our athletes have performed admirably, especially Matt Graham who won silver in freestyle skiing men's moguls and Scotty James in snowboarding halfpipe.

We have seen some breathtaking performances in many disciplines so far but the highlight for me was Chloe Kim from the USA who took gold in the snowboarding halfpipe with a dominant display.

This girl is a superstar in the making and only 17 years of age. Time is definitely on her side.

Quick thoughts

GET well soon: Jets CEO and Laidley opening bat Jason Cubit, who ruptured his ACL last week while batting.

Hero of the week: The Ipswich Vigoro Association who always do the Pink Stumps day right. You are on a winner.

Villain of the week: While I hate bagging the NRL I am disappointed that they have decided to take an Origin to Adelaide. If it has to move away from NSW or QLD then take it to where we need to grow the game.

Bomber's best: I'm finally back in the winner's circle with Tottenham saluting last week.

This week, get on Tony Finau to finish in the top 10 at the Genesis Open at $7.00.
