Head coach Tom Harris was delighted to see such strong results in only the second season as a reformed club. “After taking out the Division Three Brisbane Swimming Premiership in our inaugural season we were escalated to Division Two for the 2022/2023 season,’’ Harris said.

“To see such strong results in our first event in this division against some really well established clubs is a great testament to the depth of talented swimmers we have in Ipswich.’’

“While the podium results and top ten finishes were great, I was also so encouraged to see over 60 personal best results from our swimmers showing that their hard work and training is really paying off,” Harris said.

The club is home to over 200 members attracting swimmers of all ages and skill levels from schools across the Ipswich region as well as a number of senior and master swimmers.

“Linked to the Ipswich Grammar School we have great facilities, an exceptional coaching team, experienced swimming parents and a supportive culture” club president and IGS parent Nicholas Harty said.

“We are a club catering for all ages and all levels of swimming in a family friendly environment.”

“We plan to continue to work hard to develop our talent and proudly represent Ipswich at swimming meets across the south east,’’ Harty said.

Club nights are hosted every Tuesday during terms one and four with a number of club carnivals also available during the summer while training is offered six days a week all year round.
