Four men accused of the murder of Gailes man Christopher Anderson had their charges heard before Ipswich Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning.
Ipswich detectives charged Shaun Jason Birt, 28, from Silkstone, Markiss Graham John Moffatt Cleary, 19, of Riverview, Aidan Eden Pascoe, 31, of Leichhardt, and Larkin Dwayne Moffatt, 21, of Redbank Plains, on Tuesday following their investigations into Saturday’s incident.
It will be alleged Mr Anderson was shot in the chest outside his home on Old Logan Rd just before 4pm on Saturday afternoon, following an altercation with the men.
The four men are also charged with entering a dwelling with intent/use/threaten violence while armed in company at a residence on Old Logan Road in Gailes on July 10; and robbery with actual violence when armed in company.
Their matters were first mentioned in Ipswich Magistrates Court at 9.15am on Wednesday then put on hold to allow time for necessary police paperwork to arrive.
Legal representative Alan Phillips also took time to visit the accused men, who were held in the Ipswich watch-house.
Their matters were again mentioned at 11.30am with none of the four accused required to appear by video-link before the court.
Mr Phillips said he represented Birt, Cleary, and Moffat, and acted as agent for the firm representing Pascoe.
No details of the charges were mentioned, with both police prosecutor Senior Constable Bridie O’Shea and Mr Phillips seeking an adjournment date with the cases to be handled by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Magistrate Dennis Kinsella remanded all four men in custody and adjourned their matters for mention to a call-over of serious cases at Ipswich Magistrates Court on August 4.
They are not required to appear if legally represented.
