A sex offender attending a routine reporting visit at a police station was quickly arrested after he arrived with two unidentified children in tow.

An Ipswich man who sent d--k pictures to a child and also asked for naked pictures of young girls was back before court for breaching a suspened sentence.

While on a suspended prison sentence and parole for multiple crimes Justin Leigh Andrew Neumann was routinely in the company of two children who he failed to report to authorities.

The 28-year-old man inadvertently handed himself into police for breaching the conditions of his suspended prison sentence when he attended a police station with the children on September 19.

Neumann was arrested and spent time in custody until his case was heard at the Ipswich District Court on Wednesday, December 8, where he pleaded guilty to breaching a suspended sentence.

It was not alleged the children were harmed in any way and the crime was considered to be ‘trivial’ by the Crown.

Neumann also failed to disclose his new job to authorities.

Judge Lynch said it would be unjust to evoke Neumann’s prison sentence and increased the period of his suspended sentence by one day.

Newman was released from custody and has 917 days of his remaining suspended sentence hanging over his head.

In 2020 Newmann pleaded guilty to wilfully exposing himself to a child under 16 to, three counts of indecent treatment of a child under 16 by procuring to commit, making child exploitation material, procuring a child to engage in sexual activity outside of Australia, using the internet to solicit child pornography material, and using the internet to procure children under 16.
