WORKS of art from some of the Scenic Rim's best artists will be on display outside Boonah.
Pieces from local artists Peter Fowler and Jill Vanstone will be shown at the Bunyip Scenic Rim Resort, which will turn its hand to art exhibitions for the first time.
Bunyip Scenic Rim Resort co-owner Marina Izatt said the exhibit would open to the public over the next two weekends.
"There is just so much talent in this area," she said.
"It's a great way to support local artists and let people come and have a look at some of the amazing work they do."
The idea for an exhibition started after Darling Downs-based artist Stuart Hall asked to paint the photo the Izatts had taken of the view from their Mt French location.
"A couple of months later he rang me up and asked if I'd like to see it," she said.
"I've always loved art and the opportunity to show it was just too good to pass up.
"The space we've got here is just great and I think it works really well as a space for art."
Among others, Stuart Hall's watercolour paintings will be joined by Peter Fowler's aboriginal dot art and lifelike paintings of animals by Jill Vanstone.
Paintings won't be the only work on display, with craft such as local timber worker Ross Gilbert's pieces on show.
Mr Gilbert will show work ranging from chairs and hat racks to ornamental carvings.
The exhibition will take place this weekend and next weekend from 11am to 4pm.
An official opening will be hosted at the resort this Saturday from 1.30pm. To RSVP for the opening and for further information contact Marina Izatt on 0428 328 193.
