St Augustine’s College, Ipswich North State School, and Walloon State School also captured the special day at their campuses.
St Augustine’s College (SAC) Prep teacher Bec Monteith said it was a challenging start to the 2022 year for staff and families because of the Covid delay.
“(Although) it has given us as teachers, the opportunity to engage in additional professional learning and collaborative planning to ensure we are providing our students with rich and engaging learning experiences,” Mrs Monteith said.
“We are so excited to begin the year with the new preppies and feel confident we can make up for the lost time.”
SAC Prep teacher Brianna Corbyn echoed Mrs Monteith’s sentiment and said “it has been a strange feeling seeing empty chairs for the first two weeks of the year”.
“However, we are looking forward to seeing the new Preps with their eager smiles and welcoming their families to the St Augustine’s College Community.”
