Dinmore woman arrested after crashing car through fence on Cemetery Road in Raceview

Police say the Ipswich woman, who suffered facial injuries, walked away from the scene of the crash before she was taken into custody.

A woman was arrested by police after crashing a car through a fence outside an Ipswich home on Sunday night.

Police received a call at 6.50pm about a vehicle reportedly crashing into a house on Cemetery Road in Raceview.

A Queensland Police spokesman said the 43-year-old from Dinmore walked away from the scene of the crash but was soon taken into custody by officers.

No charges have been laid and she was taken to Ipswich Hospital in a stable condition with facial injuries.

Police said it looked she lost control of the Hyundai Tiburon and crashed through the fence.

“It looks like a couple of houses have sustained damaged,” he said.

Despite Ipswich being in lockdown, paramedics were kept busy overnight responding to two other crashes.

A teenage boy was taken to Ipswich Hospital after crashing into a pole on Cobalt Street and Johnson Road at Carole Park just after 4.30am.

He was transported in a stable condition with back pain.

Paramedics also took one person to Ipswich Hospital after a single-vehicle crash on Collingwood Drive in Redbank just after 4am.
