A mother-of-two has been sentenced for more than 50 charges including producing methamphetamine and possessing more than 10 stolen cars at her home.
She pleaded guilty to all charges including 23 counts of unlawful possession of motor vehicles with the intention to deprive and also four counts of buying or possessing S4 or S8 medicines or hazardous poisons.
The court heard that when police attended her home on April 5 last year for an unrelated matter they discovered an active drug production laboratory.
There were apparatus and chemicals for manufacturing a synthetic drug which was a precursor in the production of methamphetamine.
Police also found stolen vehicles, some in poor condition, at her home.
The court also heard that on January 22 this year Ms Mueller drove a stolen Toyota Aurion recklessly on the wrong side of a road, through a roundabout on the wrong side and ran a red light after leaving Orion Shopping Centre car park.
She was speeding at the time and narrowly avoiding hitting oncoming cars, the court was told.
Her vehicle was intercepted at the underground car park at Redbank Plains Town Square Shopping Centre after police used tyre deflation devices.
When police searched her car they found a brown crystal substance similar in appearance to heroin, prescription medicines and a large quantity of jewellery, the court heard.
The court was told Ms Mueller was the mother of two daughters, aged two and four.
Magistrate Robert Walker said her actions on the road were a serious example of dangerously operating a motor vehicle.
“(You’re) putting other motorists at serious risk,” he said.
“Not to mention the danger posed to you and other passengers in the vehicle.’’
He was also scathing of her drug charges.
“Drug offending is serious. Particularly, the production of methamphetamine in the community causes many negative impacts,” Mr Walker said.
But he considered Ms Mueller had good prospects for rehabilitation and sentenced her to two years’ probation.
She was also disqualified from holding a driver’s licence for six months.
