SAY hello to the faces of the 2012 Ipswich Cup.
Kathryn King, Atarah Rush, Tim Harwood and Shakira Rush have been named as the winners of the QT's search for the stars of the Ipswich Cup.
The group of four Ipswich locals will feature on the marketing campaign for next year's race meet which will see them on the race club's billboard on Brisbane Rd in Bundamba.
The four locals won after receiving the most votes for them by QT readers.
Atarah Rush said the group was excited to be named the winners.
"It's been great, everyone is really excited," she said.
The four will take part in a photo shoot this month before the billboard is raised on Brisbane Rd.
Fellow winner Kathryn King said she was looking forward to the Cup.
"I work in hospitality so I've never really been able to go before," she said.
Ipswich Turf Club general manager Brett Kitching said he was ecstatic with the winning group.
"What we were going after is the young, fresh-faced crowd to represent the races," he said.
"Any of the finalists could have won and we would have been happy with them."
Mr Kitching said the competition had already raised the profile of the meet.
"The competition has got people talking about the event six months out," he said.
"We want to let Generation Y know that it's not just a race meet, it's a big social event and a big party."
