A mother charged with the murder of her eight-month-old baby and her co-accused ex-boyfriend had their case heard at Ipswich court.

The alleged murder case of eight-month-old Dexter Wilton is still in its infancy stage at the Ipswich Magistrates Court as heartbroken loved ones wait for justice.
The baby boy from Raceview, Ipswich, was found dead in his home by paramedics on June 21, 2019.
It is alleged the Department of Child Safety received multiple calls in regards to the child’s welfare, prompting the tragic discovery.
Police will allege Dexter was neglected for days in the lead up to his death.
After an intensive police investigation officers charged the child’s mother Natalie Jade Whitehead, with murder, failing to supply necessities and misconduct by interfering with a corpse.
The 35-year-old woman was also charged with the unlawful possession of a weapon, and stealing which is unrelated to the baby’s death.
Ms Whitehead was arrested and charged in December 2020.
Although her ex-partner Andrew William Campbell was charged later in 2021 after police were allegedly forced to track him down.
The pair had been living together at the time of Dexter’s death.
The 42-year-old Bellbowrie man was also charged with failing to supply necessities, murder, and misconduct by interfering with a corpse.
Ms Whitehead and Mr Campbell last had their cases heard at a committal mention on Wednesday, January 19.
The pair will next front court for another committal mention on February 23, 2022.
It has been two years, six months, and 29 days since Dexter was found dead in his Sonter Street home.
