A dramatic police chase through Redbank Plains backyards ended with three teens in custody over multiple charges.

A Queensland Police spokesman said the chase began on Tuesday afternoon when officers spotted a silver Holden Commodore with no registration plates.

The car allegedly drove dangerously through the streets, running a red light at the busy intersection of School Rd and Mount Juillerat Dr.

After leading police on a chase through several streets, the allegedly stolen car crashed into a pole at Ingles Dr.

An 18-year-old man, 14-year-old and 15-year-old boy then fled on foot after ditching their slide shoes.

The barefoot Ipswich teens didn’t get far.

The police spokesman said all three were arrested nearby in the vicinity of Alawoona St at 12pm, and were initially charged with obstructing police and trespass.

The Holden was allegedly taken from a William Bay Court home at South Ripley five days earlier.

Earlier, on the day of the crash, police found another stolen car abandoned with false plates at 9am.

It is unknown if the two incidents are related.

Investigations are continuing and police urge anyone with information or CCTV footage of the incident to come forward by contacting Policelink on 131 444.
