Jamie Ray Durnford pleads guilty to stealing iPads from Camira state school
A man who broke into an Ipswich school was later caught with a co-offender with a suitcase full of stolen items, a court has heard.

A man who stole 12 iPads from an Ipswich school was caught in the act of committing another crime when police found him with a suitcase full of antique silverware.
The haul was found when Jamie Durnford and a mate tried to flee the scene of a burglary at a store on Oxley Road, an Ipswich Court heard this week.
A discarded ski mask was found on the ground nearby when police came across the men just before 11pm outside Sherwood Bazaar Antiques, in facts put before Ipswich Magistrates Court.
Appearing from jail via video-link for sentence, Jamie Ray Durnford, 26, from North Booval, pleaded guilty to a range of charges that include entering premises by break to steal at Oxley Road on April 15; break and enter to steal from Ipswich Jets Leagues club on March 6; break enter and stealing (iPads) from Camira state school on March 15; possession of dangerous drugs; possession of property used in a drug offence; and failing to attend at court.
A charge of being in possession of a house breaking implement on April 15 was withdrawn and dismissed.
When arrested outside Sherwood Bazaar late at night on April 15, police officers came across discarded latex gloves and a cloth ski mask, and the suitcase full of five sets of stolen antique cutlery.
When police searched a Holden ute they also seized a pair of blue Van sneakers that still had the attached price tags.
Police were called to the scene that night after a person reported seeing two suspicious men wearing masks.
Durnford also broke into the Camira State School with a co-offender and stole a dozen iPads used by students.
His offences before the court included the theft of a leather speed bag (punching bag) and an Everlast speed ball from Rebel Sports at Riverlink, a Google chrome device from Harvey Norman, and a set of playing cards from an Ipswich toy shop.
Durnford was sentenced to 15 months jail and with four months in custody taken into account, he was given immediate parole which will ensure he is supervised for another 10 months.
The sentence includes concurrent jail terms of six months for stealing offences.
