A young Ipswich mum who forged a fake medical certificate after she failed to report as part of her bail conditions has faced court for the second time in seven days.

Sharna Skye Graham, 24, appeared in Ipswich Magistrates Court on Tuesday and pleaded guilty to several offences including wilful damage, public nuisance, breaching bail and uttering a forged document.

The court heard Graham failed to report to the Ipswich Police Station on August 24 as was part of her bail conditions.

Two days later she attended and gave officers a medical certificate, which it turned out she had forged.

The court also heard that Graham was involved in a dispute in July, which led to her being charged with wilful damage after she punched a wooden front door and kicked the security screen, damaging both.

She was also charged public nuisance after she caused a scene in a Dan Murphy’s car park at Redbank Plains.

Graham was in an altercation with another woman but when a third person tried to intervene, Graham struck them in the face.

She also caused some damage to the side of a vehicle in the car park.

Police prosecutor Nicholas Turnbull said Graham had a relevant criminal history and could be characterised as a “violent and dishonest” person.

Defence lawyer Matthew Fairclough said Graham, who had a young child, had had a difficult childhood and was exposed to ice at a young age which affected her upbringing.

He said Graham was making changes to her life and was working towards having a good relationship with her child.

Magistrate Robert Walker placed Graham on probation for 18 months and convictions were recorded.

It comes as Graham was also sentenced in the Ipswich District Court last Wednesday and pleaded guilty to two counts of supplying dangerous drugs.

The District Court heard Graham was at another person’s Redbank Plains house in September last year when a search warrant was executed.

Police searched Graham’s phone and found messages implying she supplied marijuana on two occasions.

She was charged over the acts preparatory to supplying dangerous drugs.

Graham was on parole for previous offending at the time and was returned to custody where she served out that sentence.

The court heard the offending was at the “lowest level” and Graham would not have benefited financially.

Graham was convicted and not further punished on the two offences.
