Traffic near Ipswich Hospital has been bumper to bumper as residents rush to get tested amid the latest Covid scare in the city.

Opening hours have been extended to meet demand as people rush to get tested for Covid-19.
The Ipswich Hospital Fever Clinic will stay open late on Friday, giving people an extra 2.5 hours to be tested.
It opened at 7.30am, an hour earlier than normal, and will close at 6.30pm instead of 4pm.
Ipswich locals described scenes of cars bumper-to-bumper around the block on Wednesday as vehicles lined up outside the Ipswich Hospital.
The rush is believed to have followed news of the recent Covid-19 scare, in which a person who tested positive to the virus visited the Riverlink Shopping Centre and neighbouring CSI club in North Ipswich.
West Moreton Health confirmed demand for testing had increased.

West Moreton Health Chief Executive Dr Kerrie Freeman said the community’s response was encouraging.
“Queensland Health has asked residents to get tested if they have been to one of the exposure venues at North Ipswich, and they have acted on that advice,” Dr Freeman said.
“I hope that everyone in West Moreton looks at the exposure venues on Queensland Health’s contact tracing page and follows the advice if they have been to that venue at the relevant time.”
“We urge people to continue to be patient as they wait for their test and please consider the weather before leaving home.”
The new Court Street Fever Clinic will open on Saturday, replacing the Jubilee House Fever Clinic.
It will operate from 8.30 to 4pm, seven days a week and appointments will not be required.
