A GOODNA man who drunkenly abused a leagues club security guard, resisted arrest, and urinated in a police car while laughing has been placed on a good behaviour bond.

Kerry John Robinson, 40, pleaded guilty to creating a disturbance, obstructing police and wilfully damaging a police vehicle.

The court heard on June 19 last year Robinson was at a private function at the Wynnum-Manly Leagues Club in Manly West.

He was seen by the club's duty manager walking into the women's bathroom. After the club's security investigated, he was found in a highly-intoxicated state in the men's bathroom.

The court heard the guard told the drunk Robinson to leave the premises and escorted him out. Robinson began swearing at the guard and abusing him, saying he was going to "smash his head in".

Police, who were at the club on an unrelated matter, initially thought Robinson was threatening them when the guard got him to the Leagues Club's front doors. He was then arrested by police, causing him to start swearing at them. The court heard he told one officer he was going to "hunt him down and kill him".

According to police, Robinson refused to comply with their directions and had to be forced to move. He was eventually seated in an unmarked police car. He was then seen laughing loudly and police discovered he had urinated on the seat of the car.

He was moved out of the vehicle and into a marked police car. The court heard he continued to laugh as he was locked into the car. He had no criminal history.

He was placed on a $400 good behaviour bond for four months.
