Writtle restarted his career well this week for the Lindsay Hatch stable.

The former Victorian galloper returned to the track on Thursday after having three starts for his former trainer for some placing success.

Following a recent win at a Toowoomba trial, the four-year-old claimed the Maiden Handicap 1100m with jockey Andrew Mallyon on board.

The gelding worked well under pressure at the Ipswich track after jumping from a wide barrier and forced to travel three wide for most of the trip.

Gympie trainer Cherie Vick had success with Dare to Share who has now had back-to-back wins.

Stepping back in distance to the 800m sprint proved worthwhile for the colt who jumped fairly and found his feet to fly home and win by over three lengths.
