A close family member of a woman killed in an Ipswich carpark crash has told of the eerie phone calls that tragically went unanswered shortly after the fatal incident.

Lina Unso called Doortje Hauser, 68, from Indonesia multiple times on the day of Ms Hauser’s death – but there was no response.

Sadly, Ms Hauser lost her life in a single-car crash near Marburg on Saturday, February 25.

A Queensland Police spokesperson said at the time that a silver 2008 Toyota Prius crashed into the carpark of a Edmond St business around 8.30am.

Locals have since reported that the business in question was the Girls’ Coffee Bar.

Ms Hauser sadly died at the scene, despite multiple bystanders coming to her aid.

“My angel, the heart of my heart, my strength and my weakness, thank you for your sincerity, thank you for you example and your teaching,” Ms Unso said.

“Because of you I am strong and able to face the hard life in the overseas.

“Thank you for everything love you my dear mother.”

Family of the Gatton woman have shared their memories of her “warm kindness,” faith, and sincerity.

Her friends and family shared their shock at the news of her death on Facebook, along with their memories of how Ms Hauser touched their lives.

Betty Irobeni shared: “I’m eternally grateful to know you in my life you such an example to me.“Your warm kindness, loving and your testimony really taught me to see how much you love God and love serve him”.

“God be with you till we meet again … Rest in peace my Aunty”.

Friend Ayu Antonio said Ms Hauser was “really kind” and always asked her how she was, despite living far away.

“May you rest in peace in the afterlife,” she said.

Much of Ms Hauser’s family lives in her home country Indonesia, and family member Yolanda Lans told The Queensland Times they were “devastated” to hear the news.
