Seqwater has advised that its dams and parks - which include Wivenhoe and Somerset dams - will be open 5.30am-6.30pm daily.

Seqwater CEO Peter Dennis says the new hours are being tested in response to community support received during the recent dam recreation review.

"We'll trial the extended hours between September and April, and slightly shorter opening hours between May and August," he said.

The opening hours for the trial period are 5.30am-6.30pm from September to April; and 6.30am-5.30pm from May to August.
