CRIME WRAP: Police reveal the crimes committed in Ipswich this month

Police have revealed a list of alleged crimes committed around Ipswich in the past month, including burglary, drink and drug driving and car stealing.

Ipswich police have revealed a list of crimes and alleged offences which have been committed around the region during October.

Assaults

Nicholas Street, Ipswich

A motorcycle rider allegedly assaulted a man, punching him multiple times in the face, at about 11.20am on October 19.

The man had entered an alleyway in his vehicle and saw the motorcycle obstructing the alley.

He approached and asked the rider to move, the rider then allegedly assaulted him before riding off.

Investigations are continuing.

Dixon Street, Wulkuraka

A man was walking home at 2.50pm on October 25 when two males approached him.

They had a short conversation before one of the males allegedly pushed him.

He started walking away and was then allegedly punched in the back of the head, causing him to fall to the ground.

The two males allegedly punched him multiple times in the head before another man intervened.

A 15-year-old Booval boy is scheduled to appear in the Ipswich Children’s Court at a later date charged with assault.

A 20-year-old Wulkuraka man is scheduled to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on November 23.

Burglary offences

Herbert Street, Sadliers Crossing

At 10.30am on October 23 an unknown man entered this address via an open back door.

A female resident discovered the man in her house and confronted him.

He then left the address and took the woman’s wallet with him.

Investigations are continuing.

Stolen vehicles

Gladstone Road, Sadliers Crossing

Between 6.30am and 6.40am on October 22, a man started his vehicle, a Gold Mitsubishi Pajero with Queensland registration JIM333, then went back inside his house.

He heard the engine revving and went outside to see his car being reversed down the driveway and driven down the road.

Investigations are continuing.

Vehicle offences

Essington Mews, Leichhardt

An unknown person(s) attended this address between 5.30pm on October 20 and 7am on October 21 and removed a vehicle’s rear registration plate by unscrewing it.

Investigations are continuing.

Chelmsford Avenue, Ipswich

Between 9.30am and 12.45pm on October 24, an unknown person(s) attended the address and removed a vehicle’s front registration plate by unscrewing the screws.

Investigations are continuing.

Drink/drug driving offences

Omar Street, West Ipswich

A 54-year-old Leichhardt woman allegedly returned a positive roadside drug test on October 19.

She is due to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court on December 15, charged with drug driving.

Lowry Street, North Ipswich

A 47-year-old Bundamba man allegedly returned a blood alcohol concentration of 0.228 on October 21.

He will appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on November 17, charged with drink driving.

Lowry Street, North Ipswich

A 47-year-old Tara man was charged with drink driving after allegedly returning a reading of 0.188 on October 23.

He will appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on November 22.

Brisbane Street, West Ipswich

A 26-year-old Varsity Lakes woman allegedly returned a reading of 0.135 on October 23 and was charged with drink driving.

She will appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on November 26.

Callaghan St, East Ipswich

A 21-year-old Greenbank woman was charged with drink driving after allegedly returning a reading of 0.137.

She will appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on November 17.
