New Covid exposure sites have been identified in Ipswich including at a busy shopping precinct in the city’s south.

As reported by the Queensland Times on Thursday, a positive case visited the Officeworks store in the CBD on Brisbane Street on Friday, July 30.

Although next to a Coles supermarket, a spokeswoman for the supermarket giant confirmed a positive case did not enter the store.

Queensland Health has ruled this as a casual contact between 10.49am and 11.15am on the day.

The entrance to the building has been identified as a low risk contact during the same time.

The Salvation Army’s Bundamba store on Coal Street has been identified as a close contact site.

It is understood staff were informed early on Thursday morning and were immediately sent into quarantine.
