What's open and what's closed this Christmas

Here's your guide to what's open over Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year.

HOTELS AND PUBS

Chances are you will be able to get a drink somewhere on Christmas Day, although takeaway alcohol sales are banned in Queensland. Also, liquor can be sold between 10am and midnight on Christmas Day only "in conjunction with a meal".

Racehorse Hotel: Tickets on sale for lunch on Christmas Day.  Open normal hours Boxing Day.

PA Hotel: Closed Christmas Day. Normal trading hours from Boxing Day.

Orion Hotel: Closed Christmas Day. Open Boxing Day. New Year's Eve laser light show, DJ's from 8pm.

Brothers Leagues Club: Closed Christmas Day. Open Boxing Day. NYE entertainment by Chick Flick from 8.30pm.

Ipswich Jets Leagues Club: Closed Christmas Day. Open Boxing Day.

Yamanto Tavern: Normal trading hours from Boxing Day.

SUPERMARKETS, SHOPPING CENTRES AND DEPARTMENT STORES

Riverlink Shopping Centre. Both shopping malls will be closed on Christmas Day. Some external shops and restaurants may operate so best to check with them directly. Open Boxing Day from 10am to 4pm.

Booval Fair: Closed Christmas Day. Open Boxing Day from 9am to 6pm.

Brassall Shopping Centre: Closed Christmas Day and Boxing day.

Orion Shopping Centre: Closed Christmas Day. Boxing Day 10am to 4pm.

Redbank Plaza: Closed Christmas Day. Open Boxing Day from 9am to 6pm.

Woolworths: All stores will close at 6pm on Christmas Eve and reopen on Boxing Day.

Coles: All stores will be closed on Christmas Day. They will reopen on Boxing Day and New Year's Day.

Aldi: Closed Christmas Day. Open Boxing Day 9am to 6pm.

Most Myer stores will be open until 6pm on Christmas Eve. All stores will be open on Boxing Day. There will be reduced trading hours for New Year's Day. 

All David Jones stores will be open until 6pm on Christmas Eve and reopen on Boxing Day.

Most McDonalds will be open on Christmas and Boxing Day, make sure to check out your local store online if you're planning on a Maccas run.

Red Rooster stores will be closed on Christmas Day and open on Boxing Day.

Dominos Pizza will be closed on Christmas Day and open on Boxing Day.

CHEMISTS
