One of Ipswich’s favourite fruit and vegetable shops has officially opened at a brand new location after three years on the city’s main drag.
Family-run business Clint’s Farm Fresh Produce relocated from 37 Brisbane St, Ipswich to 11 Pine Mountain Rd, North Ipswich on Friday, September 9.
The city’s fruit and veg lovers were delighted to hear the business was “going strong” and would continue serving the community in a more convenient location.
“Wow you guys – looks amazing – can’t wait to check it out this afternoon,” Ophelia Pane wrote on Facebook.
“Yay! Can't wait to see the new shop and get quality (fruit and vegetables) again,” wrote Marree V-Lee.
Others wrote about how they missed Clint’s’ locally-sourced, fresh produce during its move and were eager to visit the new site.
“Saw the shop this week,” Facebook user Christine Moore wrote.
“Nice to see you on the good side of town.”
The business has operated at Ipswich for more than three decades, refining its service and building a solid and devoted customer-base over the years.
Clint Borghardt was handed the reins by his parents Howard and Sheryl Borghardt some time ago, selling at weekend markets while working as a renderer.
After 10 months of operating out of a shed at Lobb St, he moved Clint’s Farm Fresh Produce into a shopfront.
“(Produce) has always been in my life,” he told The Queensland Times in 2019.
“There's been a hell of a lot of loyal customers that follow me every week. I just needed to get in somewhere. I was getting sick of going here, there, and everywhere.”
In celebration of his store’s recent relocation, Clint is now selling his produce at a discount.
Customers can buy five punnets of blueberries for $10, four punnets of strawberries for $10, a bag of avocados for $1.99, 3kg of oranges for $1.99, 1kg of zucchinis for $1.99, 1kg of tomatoes for $2.99, 1kg of red capsicums for $2.99, and 1kg of sweet potatoes for 99c.
The specials will run all weekend until stock sells out.
Clint’s Farm Fresh Produce will continue to operate from Friday to Sunday. Visit the store’s Facebook for updates.
