GOLF club wielding bandits allegedly robbed two North Booval convenience stores last night.

Two men were assaulted at a Gledson Street convenience store and an employee was threatened at a North Station Road store.

At about 6pm, three men entered a convenience store on North Station Road, North Booval where they allegedly threatened the store attendant with golf clubs.

The male attendant activated a security alarm, and the three assailants used the golf clubs to strike the store counter before fleeing the scene.

Ipswich police said the men then entered a red sedan that was parked on Thurso Street, and were last seen driving west along Jacaranda Street.

The employee was not physically injured during this alleged attack.

Nearly two hours later around 7.50pm, four men entered another convenience store on Gledson Street, North Booval.

The men, one of them armed with a golf club, assaulted two male employees and attempted to gain access to the cash register before fleeing with cigarettes.

The two men were treated for minor injuries at the scene.
