Huge delays on Pacific Motorway after six-vehicle, truck smash at Greenslopes

A multi-vehicle crash has resulted in traffic chaos on Wednesday morning, with the Pacific Motorway south of Brisbane congested for several kilometres ahead of peak hour.

Police are reopened lanes on the Pacific Motorway in Brisbane’s inner south after a six-vehicle crash, including a truck, sparked traffic chaos.

Emergency services were called to the crash on the M1 in the northbound lanes about 6am on Wednesday where six vehicles, including a truck, collided at the Duke Street off-ramp near Greenslopes.

A Queensland Fire Department spokesperson said there were five crews en route to the crash while paramedics were on scene assessing the occupants of the vehicles.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said there were seven occupants in total, with three being assessed by paramedics.

Two people were taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in stable conditions.

As of 6:20am traffic was backed up on the Pacific Motorway for several kilometres from approximately Westfield Mt Gravatt to the Greenslopes Hospital, with heavy delays expected for motorists heading into the city.

Qld Traffic reported multiple lanes had been reduced.

As of 8am police have re-opened the two lanes to traffic with delays expected to ease.
