RESIDENTS on the Gold Coast got an unusual surprise this morning when a hot-air balloon landed in their street.

CARRARA residents got an unusual surprise this morning when a hot-air balloon landed in their street.
The vessel had to make an emergency landing in the car park of the Community Health building in Chisholm Road about 7am.
The Asian tourists who were on board were moved to the football field nearby.
Balloon Aloft Gold Coast owner Bernhard Weibel said no one was injured.
“This morning was just a routine flight, we normally always land in Carrara, it’s on our flight path that we take every day,” he said.
“This morning we just landed in a cul de sac, which happens probably every three to four months.
“It was no incident.”
