A WOMAN accused of murdering her de facto joked that she could cut up bodies and bury them where she was living, a woman who worked for her has told a court.

Elini Christensen told the Supreme Court that Lindy Williams made the joke while walking around the yard of her partner George Gerbic’s Tanawha property in 2013.

Ms Christensen said Williams said to her: “This is a big land. I can cut up bodies and I can bury here and no one will know.”

When asked to repeat what Williams said to her, she said Williams said: “It’s a big land in here. I can cut up bodies and no one would know.”

Ms Christensen had been working for Williams at the property, putting together mops imported by Williams.

She said she told Williams: “Don’t be stupid. Don’t be silly.”

“She just laughed,” Ms Christensen said.

Under cross-examination, Williams’s defence counsel put to Ms Christensen that Williams never made the comment about cutting up bodies.

“She said that to me,” Ms Christensen said.

Lindy Yvonne Williams, 60, has pleaded not guilty to murdering her de facto partner George Gerbic, 66, on the Sunshine Coast in September 2013.

She has pleaded guilty to disposing of his body.

Mr Gerbic’s headless, legless and armless torso was found burning on the side of the road near Gympie on September 19, 2013.

Williams has claimed Gerbic died after hitting his head on a kitchen bench top, after slipping on her blood, after he cut her arm.

She told police he may have fatally hit his head as she was defending herself with a bar stool.
