Zac Moye, who died as a result of a horror car accident at Wolvi in early April, will be honoured by his devastated friends and family at his funeral this week.
Zac and his mate Rykah Burr were in a car when it hit a tree on April 11, leaving them with critical injuries, which they both succumbed to days later in hospital.
The date and location for Zac’s funeral has officially been set for 2pm Friday, April 30, at Gympie Funerals.

A GoFundMe for Rykah’s family raised more than $10,000 and now a GoFundMe for Zac, set up by his foster sister, has raised almost $7000, with donations from 137 people so far.
After overtaking the original $5000 goal, the target for Zac’s fundraiser has been set to $10,000.

Rebecca Holt, who is Zac’s foster sister, organised the fundraiser and said the money would go towards giving the teenager the “send-off he deserves”.
“Any donation is much appreciated,” Ms Holt said on the GoFundMe site.
“His family and friends are absolutely devastated.”

Ms Holt described Zac as an energetic, happy young man with his whole life ahead of him.
“He had a huge heart and he loved his family, mates, sports and fishing,” she said.
“Unfortunately, Zac had a rough start to his teenage years and came into foster care, becoming a big part of our family where we welcomed him with open arms.”
Zac’s family have said they “appreciate every cent that has been donated” and have expressed their “deepest, most sincere gratitude” to everyone who has donated.
