Young Gympie girl flown to hospital after chewing on glue tube

A young Gympie region girl has been flown to the Sunshine Coast after an unfortunate incident with the household object.

A young Gympie region girl has been flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital after a glue tube she was chewing on split open in her mouth.

An RACQ LifeFlight media release said the toddler was chewing on the tube about 11am Friday when it split open in her mouth.

She was initially treated by paramedics before being taken to a nearby oval and the awaiting rescue helicopter.

She was then flown, in a stable condition and alongside her mother, to the Sunshine Coast for further assessment
