Winter Trees on Mary returns to Gympie CBD
The centre of Gympie is about to undergo a sensational transformation as the region’s popular Mary St events return after following a year in which many of the celebrations were cancelled due to Covid.

Gympie’s main street will once again become a winter wonderland this month as Winter Trees on Mary returns to the CBD.
The event, the first of the Chamber of Commerce’s Mary St parties this year after the Easter celebrations were called off due to Covid, will offer guests the chance to enjoy late night shopping, live entertainment and the chance to take a look at some of the region’s classic cars.
The streets 44 trees will be dressed by schools, daycare centres and organisations in our region.
Along with cars, shopping and entertainment, street food vendors, market stalls, wine and cheese tastings, a jumping castle, train rides for children will also be on the menu.
Cafes, bars and restaurants along the street will be open.
The festivities start from 5pm on Wednesday July 21, with road closures in place from 4pm.
