IF YOU'RE looking for another cracking weekend like the region was spoilt with last weekend, Sunday is the day to look to.

Following a blustery few days, which saw a gale wind warning on the coast yesterday weaken to a strong-wind warning today, forecasters say there will still be some fairly good south easterly winds swirling around the region on the weekend before moving off on Sunday afternoon.

Today will reach a top of 21 degrees, while Saturday and and Sunday are predicted to range from 9 to 22 degrees, which is about average for this time of year.

Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Adam Blazak said there is a slim chance of a slight shower on Saturday, and a few clouds poking around early Sunday, but by Sunday afternoon it should be nothing but clear skies.

He said with the strong wind warning still in place today, the sea would prove too choppy for recreational boating today and tomorrow.

But it sounds like it may be smooth sailing by Sunday.
