UPDATE: Motorcyclists transferred to Nambour after serious crash
Three people were taken to hospital following an accident between a motorcycle and another vehicle at the Lobwein Rd intersection.

TWO motorcyclists were transferred to Nambour General Hospital from Gympie Hospital yesterday in a stable condition after a serious crash on the Bruce Hwy involving three vehicles.
One car and two motorcycles were involved in the crash at the turn-off to the Kybong Airport at the Lobwein Rd intersection, south of Gympie.
Witnesses reported that one of the motorcyclists appeared to have gone through the windscreen of the car.
Gympie Ambulance officer in charge Wayne Sachs said one of the motorbike riders was taken to Gympie Hospital with head and chest injuries, as well as fractures to his lower legs.
"It was a pretty nasty sort of accident," Mr Sachs said.
Another rider was also taken to Gympie Hospital in a stable condition with lower leg fractures.
Mr Sachs said the female driver of the car suffered severe shock as well as "bumps and bruises" amounting to minor injuries.
Drivers have been urged to remain cautious near the Lobwein Rd intersection, with oil on the highway as a result of the crash.
Mr Sachs said the highway was now open both ways to traffic, but a significant amount of traffic had piled up since emergency crews were called to the crash at about 1:45pm.
The southbound lane of the highway was closed for about 45 minutes.
Police and fire crews are still on the scene, and are expected to remain on site for some time.
THURSDAY 2pm: A MOTORCYCLIST has been injured and the the Bruce Hwy closed following a serious accident at the turn-off to the Kybong Airport, just south of Gympie.
Early reports from the scene indicate the motorcyclist has gone through the front windscreen of a car in the accident at the Lobwein Rd intersection.
Three police cars and five ambulances are in attendance.
