UPDATE:
A BOY bitten repeatedly by a snake at a property near Gympie has been released from Gympie Hospital, a family member said yesterday.
The boy was in the yard of a property at Greens Creek when the snake, believed to be non-venomous, bit him.
The 9-year-old boy was bitten on the left foot and reportedly now "doing fine."
"We quickly applied our snake bandage and an ambulance was called," the family reported.
Paramedics were called to the Bridge Creek Rd property about 11.15am on Monday
UPDATE 12.20pm Monday:
A Primry-school aged boy was transported in a stable condition to Gympie Hospital after being reportedly bitten by a snake at Greens Creek.
Paramedics were called to the Bridge Creek Rd property around 11.15am where the boy was assessed before being transported.
It is unknown what type of snake struck or where the boy was bitten.
