UPDATE:
TWO women and two children were lucky to leave Running Creek alive when their car ploughed off the Woolooga bridge into the creek, just before 7am on Saturday morning.
And by reports, it sounds like the fast-thinking of the women in the accident.
The women and a five-year-old and three-year-old, thought to be from Gladstone, were on their way to Deception Bay and heading west on Brooweena-Woolooga Rd, when the car lost control on the gravel before the bridge, police said.
The driver attempted to correct as the car entered the bridge, but the vehicle collided with a bridge guide post, which folded under the car as it plunged into the creek; landing on its roof.
Gympie ambulance officer in charge Wayne Sachs said the four were able to free themselves from the car before paramedics arrived.
He said when the adults went to free the three-year-old girl she was not breathing, but they were able to revive her before emergency services arrived.

It was reported online that the two women and children were found walking up to the road, wet and covered in blood.
The girls were airlifted to Lady Cilento Hospital, Brisbane. Later that day Gympie police were informed the children remained in for observations on Saturday, but would be released if all clear.
Somebody known to the families posted an update on social media:
"The 3-year-old appears to have gone 10 rounds in a boxing match but has no serious injuries or any underlying injuries that are likely to cause future problems.
"The 5-year-old superficial scratches and is all good. Both adults will be sore but received no serious injuries.
"Their fast acting action after leaving the road certainly saved the children from an outcome that could have been worse.
"Of interest the $300 car seat hindered getting the 3 year old out of the car and failed to protect the child in comparison to the $50 car seat which protected the 5 year old far better.
"The $300 car seat did not want to disengage and could have caused a far worse result if not for the fast thinking of the mother. "

TWO little girls were airlifted to Lady Cilento Children's hospital this morning after a car accident at Woolooga left a car on its back under water.
A Family of 4 was traveling in the car when it left the Brooweena Woolooga rd just before 7am and plunged into a creek.
Gympie ambulance officer in charge Wayne Sachs said the 4 were able to free themselves from the car before paramedics arrived.
When the mother and father went to free their 3yo daughter she was not breathing, but they were able to revive her before emergency services arrived.
Her 5yo daughter suffered multiple lacerations. Both girls were airlifted in a stable condition.
It is believed the parents had only minor injuries.
The cause of the crash is unknown and it is unknown at this stage if the family was local
