Two top Aussie comedians lead line-up as ‘Sit Down Comedy Club’ returns to Gympie RSL this month

Two leading Aussie comedians will lead a hilarious line-up to the Gympie RSL when the Sit Down Comedy Club returns to the Gold City later this month.
Lindsay Webb and Anne Ferguson-Howe will bring a wealth of experience with their acts when the Comedy Club makes its first appearance in Gympie since 2019, having performed across Australia and across the world in their burgeoning careers.
A former breakfast show host for 91.9 Sea FM for four years, Webb has performed at the prestigious Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Adelaide Fringe Fest, Melbourne International Comedy Festival and NZ International Comedy Festival.
Webb also holds the Guinness World Record for the longest show by an individual comedian, clocking in at an incredible 38 hours and six minutes.
Ferguson-Howe has performed alongside comedy greats including Fiona O’Loughlin, Mick Meredith, Jimeoin, Tahir and Wil Anderson.
Host of the Very Anne Show on Digital 44, Ferguson-Howe promises to have audiences weeping at her rude, crass and bawdy jokes.
The show will be hosted by Emma Zammit, who will also entertain between acts with her “hilarious” musings on parenthood, people and everyday life.
Gympie RSL CEO Steve Lancaster said the club was excited to welcome live comedy back to the club for the first time since Covid and major renovations in 2020.
“After the restrictions of the last twelve months, it’s great to see entertainment and comedy returning,” Mr Lancaster said.
“With tickets just $30 per person, they are sure to sell out, so my best advice is to get in quick.”
