Two people assessed after house fire alert in Rainbow Beach

The occupants of a home on the Cooloola Coast were assessed by paramedics on Thursday night after emergency service crews rushed to the scene of a reported house fire.

The occupants of a home in Rainbow Beach were assessed by paramedics on Thursday night after emergency services attended the scene of a reported house fire in Bombala Crescent.

Fireys and paramedics rushed to the address about 7.20pm after reports of a fire, but a Queensland Fire Department spokesperson said on Friday when they got there, there was no sign of a house fire.

Iistead, it appeared a smoke alarm had gone off, she said.

Queensland Ambulance Service said they attended the scene as well and assessed two people before leaving.

Neither patient required treatment or transport, they said.
