Two injured as motorcycles collide on rural Gympie property

Two people have been taken to hospital after their motorcycles struck each other while they were riding on a rural Gympie property.

Emergency crews were rushed to the Stacy Lane property, located at The Dawn about 5km south of the city, shortly before 1pm Wednesday.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics were treating the pair for facial and leg injuries.

The injuries were “significant” and a rescue helicopter was initially called out to the property before being stood down.

The pair were instead taken to Gympie Hospital in stable conditions.
